PSNI probes Belfast wall graffiti targeting Varadkar and Coveney

The home addresses of Leo Varadkar and Simon Coveney have been graffitied on two Belfast walls amid increasing tensions over Brexit. It is understood the PSNI considered the content of the graffiti as serious enough to warrant being immediately raised with their counterparts in An Garda Síochána. A spokesperson for Mr Coveney declined to comment last night, while a spokesperson for Mr Varadkar did not respond to queries. A Garda spokesperson said: “The PSNI are the primary investigators of these incidents and are best suited to provide comment. In January, graffiti warning Mr Varadkar to stay out of Ulster was scrawled on a wall in the Belvoir area of south Belfast, around 6km from the site of the latest incident.
