PSC not in business of inflating cost of Sh6 billion MPs' offices project - Muturi

National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi has dismissed claims that the parliamentary service commission is plotting to inflate costs of an ongoing 26-storey building project. This follows claims by Nyamira Senator Kennedy Mong'are that PSC wants to loot Sh1 billion during the construction of the skyscraper situated at Parliament buildings. The legislator on Wednesday asked the Auditor General and EACC to initiate investigations on the matter, citing interference with the PSC Act. He said that the commission has at no time varied costs of the ongoing construction of the Sh6 billion 26-storey office block. "The so called "monumental scandal" as alleged by the senator is therefore a figment of his own imagination," Muturi said.
