The Attorney General Justin Muturi has affirmed that the Public Service Commission (PSC) has no powers to determine the salaries, allowances or banefits of workers in Parastatals, and other state agencies. He is clear that, PSC has powers on those in government Ministries but not in state agencies and corporations. The Attorney General Justin Muturi was responding to a question that has been sought by the Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi. It's clear that, some of the State agencies and Parastatals pay workers extremely high salaries as compared to Ministries. AG Muturi is clear that, unless the law is changed, PSC remains powerless for it cannoy describe the terms of service.
