The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has warned the public of false news circulating online that the Senate bill seeking to abolish the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Law has been approved. In a statement on Wednesday, the PRC clarified that Senate Bill No. 2073, an act seeking to repeal the CPD law initiated by Senator Ralph Recto, has been filed only recently and still has to undergo deliberations and other procedures before it could amend the law. Recto, however, raised the need to repeal the law; hence, the filing of Senate Bill No. “Just recently, false news has been circulating in the internet claiming that the Bill has already been approved and the CPD Law has already been repealed/abolished,” PRC said.
