ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Palwasha Khan lashed out at Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi for holding a press conference over the report of an imminent Indian attack instead of briefing parliament over the issue. “Why such a critical matter was not discussed in the Parliament before being revealed in a press conference,” she said, adding this “irresponsible and careless attitude” of the government was unacceptable. She termed the presser held by Qureshi a “poor attempt” to divert people’s attention from the ever-increasing price hike. She also chided the administration for deploying a large number of security forces in Islamabad, saying what was the government afraid of. She concluded by saying that PPP demanded a transparent trial with a just outcome.
