PPP’s poor performance

Domino effect of the PPP’s poor performance has started showing itself in other provincesKARACHI: The result of the recent by-poll in Lodhran can be interpreted as a performance evaluation of the Pakistan Peoples Party, one of the country’s biggest parties. The PPP secured fewer votes than some political newbies, who lacked a strong political mandate on important issues. Hence, the domino effect of the PPP’s poor performance has started showing itself in other provinces where the party has never formed a provincial government. Non-deliverance in the public development sector in its own constituencies and the whole of Sindh where it makes the government, has contributed massively to the PPP’s downfall. However, with little time left for the general elections, the party unfortunately cannot do much to improve its performance and may not be able to form the government even in Sindh.
