PPE facility to open in Cambridge, creating up to 50 jobs, says company

A new manufacturing facility that produces personal protective equipment will open in Cambridge, creating up to 50 local jobs, according to the Alberta company building the plant. "After a comprehensive nation-wide search Ontario proved to be the ideal location, providing us with great access to the talent we need to set-up and run this facility," said David Welsh, Chief Executive Officer of PRIMED Medical Products in a news release. This facility will produce surgical masks and N95 respirators. The City of Cambridge says it's proud the company has chosen the city to open the plant. Plant operations will begin in the fall and the jobs will be created during the initial launch phase, according to the company.
