The Party of National Unity (PNU) now wants the Azimio la Umoja chairperson Uhuru Kenyatta to convene a meeting of all Azimio constituent parties to discuss the coalition’s future. PNU, which is led by former Agriculture CS and Meru governor Peter Munya, said the inclusion of Azimio affiliate party members in Kenya Kwanza is untenable. “Neither can the same be a Government of National Unity. In a statement issued after a Special National Executive Council meeting on Thursday, PNU further rejected calls for a national dialogue. It said the Azimio meeting should reach a resolution on the future of the opposition coalition.
