LUCENA CITY – Fishers and coastal residents have been advised to immediately report to the authorities any suspicious package found off the seas and coastlines in Quezon province. Osmundo de Guzman, Quezon police director, issued the advisory after a laboratory test confirmed that the brick of white substance found along the shore of Mauban town on Monday morning was cocaine. It is worth P5.39 million at P5.3 million per kilo,” De Guzman said. He directed all police stations along the coastal towns to check on all coastal barangays for the possibility of finding more cocaine packages. “I also advised fishers and coastal residents that if they find any suspicious-looking packages, they should immediately surrender it,” De Guzman said.
