PNP: No order on 29% hike in salary pensions of police retirees


“PNP Retirement and Benefits Administration Service (PRBS) said there is no directive or measures on the said standardization of salary pensions of PNP/INP retirees claiming to have 29% increase effective today, April 15,” PNP spokesman Brig. Gen. Bernard Banac said in a statement. ADVERTISEMENTAccording to Banac, some policemen were receiving text messages falsely claiming the increase in salary pensions. As of April 13, members of PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG) arrested 47 individuals for allegedly spreading fake reports about the novel coronavirus disease or COVID-19 pandemic while two online scammers were arrested for supposedly engaging in a “face mask scam.”PNP-ACG also filed cases against 24 individuals purportedly spreading unverified reports about COVID-19.
