PNP: Erwin Tulfo to surrender firearms

MANILA, Philippines — After he received a stern warning from the Philippine National Police (PNP), broadcaster Erwin Tulfo has coordinated with the police for the surrender of his firearms. PNP spokesman Col. Bernard Banac yesterday said Tulfo, through a representative, has informed the police Firearms and Explosives Office (FEO) about the surrender of his guns. “Nakipag-ugnayan ang kampo ni Erwin Tulfo sa pamunuan ng FEO,” Banac said in a news briefing at Camp Crame in Quezon City. FEO director Gen. Valeriano de Leon said Tulfo’s camp informed them Monday night about the broadcaster’s decision to surrender his firearms. “His camp has coordinated on his intention to surrender the firearms when he returns in the country,” he said in a text message.
