Our Special CorrespondentNew Delhi: The CBI is questioning the top brass of the state-run Punjab National Bank, including managing director and chief executive officer Sunil Mehta and executive director Brahmaji Rao, in the banking scandal case. "Both Mehta and Rao were asked to appear before the investigators in Mumbai today (Saturday) and are being questioned," CBI spokesperson Abhishek Dayal said. Mehta replaced Usha Ananthasubramanian as managing director and chief executive of Punjab National Bank in May 2017. Before joining PNB, Mehta was executive director of Corporation Bank. A tweet from the directorate estimated the value of the assets at Rs 523.72 crore.
