PMK Cadres stage protest over kiiling of Indian fisherman


NewsPMK cadres today staged a protest to condemn the killing of an Indian fisherman allegedly by Sri Lankan Navy, Indian media reported. After the protest, PMK leader and Lok Sabha member Anbumani Ramadoss told reporters that Centre should take steps to protect the fishermen. Later, the PMK leader visited the family of 22-year-old Bridgo and consoled them. Meanwhile, District Collector L Natarajan presented a cheque of Rs 5 lakh to the kin of the deceased fisherman. Earlier, Chief Minister E K Palaniswami had announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh for the victim's family.
