Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Friday said the new leadership of Bangladesh Chhatra League would be chosen through “negotiation.”Addressing the 29th National Council of Chhatra League in Dhaka’s Suhrawardy Udyan, she said: “A subjective committee will sit on Saturday to select the new leadership. She also urged the Chhatra League leaders to choose qualified leaders so that they can strengthen the organization. Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, among other ruling party and Chhatra League leaders, also spoke on the occasion. Councillors from 109 organizational Chhatra League units from home and abroad are taking part in the two-day conference to get their next leadership. Names of the new president and general secretary of the organization would be announced on Saturday, last day of the council.
