Share:Prime Minister Imran Khan visited the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SKMCH&RC) in Peshawar on Friday where he inaugurated the newly established operating room suite and Intensive Care Unit (ICU). In a series of tweets, the prime minister said that he was delighted to visit the SKMCH in Peshawar to inaugurate the newly completed operating room suite and ICU. He added that this means SKMCH&RC Peshawar now offers all diagnostic and treatment facilities for cancer under one roof for people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, and northern Pakistan. The Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital in Lahore was opened in 1994. Since over 30% of all patients seen in Lahore came from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Afghanistan, we decided to establish Peshawar SKMCH, he said.
