Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel 8 km on the Kochi metro corridor on Saturday morning and soon after dedicate the much-awaited first mass rapid transport system in Kerala to the country. The project will be dedicated to the nation at 11 a.m. at a function to be attended by 3,500 invitees at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium in Kaloor. He will later hold a meeting with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and others at the board room at the Naval Base. Speaking to the media here on Friday, DMRC Principal Adviser E. Sreedharan said the unique work culture adopted by the DMRC resulted in the Kochi metro not being shaken by any corruption scam. Kochi Metro Rail Limited Managing Director Elias George said the organisation was able to usher in a new work culture in Kerala.
