Prayut suggested the idea during Tuesday’s Cabinet meeting after he heard a report from Deputy Prime Minister ADM Narong Pipatanasai on the Sixth International Congress on Physical Activity and Public Health held in Bangkok last week, government spokesman Colonel Taksada Sangkhachan said. As the report indicated that most children and elderly people spend their free time watching television or on computer devices, Prayut suggested that Government House officials exercise for an hour and a half every Wednesday afternoon. Prayut will join the sessions on the grass field in front of Thai Khu Fah building if he is available, Taksada said. Participants were encouraged to dress in appropriate sports attire.
