PM postpones Singapore-M'sia Leaders' Retreat to attend OIC meeting on Jerusalem

SINGAPORE: Malaysian premier Datuk Seri Najib Razak has requested for next week's 8th Singapore-Malaysia Leaders' Retreat between him and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong to be postponed. This is due to Najib having to attend a special meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Turkey on Dec 13. The OIC meeting, convened by Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, was called following the recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel by the United States government. A Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) spokesman confirmed that the Retreat was postponed at Najib's request, following Malaysia media reports of the OIC meeting. – TODAY ONLINETo read the original article, go here: https://www.todayonline.com/world/malaysia-pm-najib-requests-postpone-ne...Keywords: Datuk Seri Najib Razak, 8th Singapore-Malaysia Leaders' Retreat, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, special meeting, Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, OIC, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Jerusalem, Israel, US President Donald Trump
