Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has opened the much-awaited metro rail services by unveiling a plaque at Uttara sector-15 today (Wednesday). People have gathered at the metro rail inaugural venue to be part of the history of launching the first mass transit system in the country. Thousands of mass people, mostly ruling party leaders and workers, also rushed to the spot chanting slogals in favour of the government for the successful launching of mass transit line 6. The premier travelled from Uttara to Agargaon on a train with 200 invitee guests having orange cards in a reserved coach. Among the guests arrived are ministers of foreign affairs, liberation war, information, land, LGRD, chief whip, deputy speaker, speaker, Salman F Rahm, ICT minister, rail minister.
