The stations from Ataba to Kitkat of four kilometers will be inaugurated in December 2021, accompanying Transport Minister Kamel al-Wazir said. The French ambassador, the ambassador of the European Union and the governor of Giza also attended the arrival of the tunnel-boring machine. Phase three of Metro Line 3 amounts to 17.7 kilometers and includes 15 stations. The third part will be from Kitkat to Cairo University at 7.1 kilometers to be inaugurated in April 2023. Kitkat station’s area is 3,800 square meters at a depth of 23 meters underground and has 3 levels.
