DHAKA, June 21, 2023 (BSS) - Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today congratulated newly elected Prime Minister of Finland Petteri Orpo. In a greetings letter to Petteri, Sheikh Hasina wrote, "I, on behalf of the people and the government of Bangladesh and on my own behalf, would like to congratulate you on your assumption as the Prime Minister ofFinland". Bangladesh Prime Minister said that the longstanding friendship between Bangladesh and Finland has strengthened over the years. She looks forward to working closely with Petteri Orpo in uplifting multidimensional bilateral relations further in order to achieve common prosperity for the two people. Sheikh Hasina wished the new Finnish Prime Minister’s good health, happiness, and success and continued peace, progress and prosperity of the people of Finland.
