New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi had raised the Pakistan bogey during the Gujarat campaign. He prodded party cadres to chant: " Jeetega bhai jeetega, vikas jeetega (Development will always win, bro)." But there was a throwback to the emotive campaign line, too, and an oblique admission of the voter disillusionment. Focusing his speech on Gujarat rather than Himachal Pradesh, he hailed the BJP victory in his home state as " asamanya (extraordinary)". In today's age, it's an extraordinary achievement for a party to keep winning for so long," Modi said.
