Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday directed the authorities concerned to hasten the Jagannath University (JnU) development project at an Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (Ecnec) meeting. The university should be developed as an institution with international standards and the government will provide all kind of support to see it happens,” the prime minister said. She also asked the Ministry of Land to identify at least 100 acres of area in Keraniganj immediately for further development projects of the university. However, the JnU development project has a budget of Tk274.10cr so far. We have bought 7.50 acres land in Keraniganj and we are expecting to get more than 100 acres land there.
