"PM has asked all key ministries to speed up creation of infrastructure in the country at a three-hour long meeting. The idea is to ensure ministries adopt new technologies that can help them improve efficiencies and result in quantum jump in performance," the official quoted above said. NITI Aayog's CEO Amitabh Kant made a presentation.Prior to this, PM Modi had reviewed and set targets for eight other infrastructure sectors including road, transport, ports and railways among others. "The Prime Minister Narendra Modi today reviewed the progress of key infrastructure sectors. Top officials from various infrastructure sector Ministries, NITI Aayog, and PMO attended the meeting.As part of the first quarter review, it was noted that Indian Railways has achieved a target of daily passenger movement of 2.25 crore.
