This afternoon’s mid-to-upper 90s were enough to set a record at Dulles International Airport, and were close to the record at Reagan National Airport as well. We’re locked into this sizzling heat and humidity through Saturday, with some storms possible late tomorrow. Through Tonight: Temperatures gradually drop into the 80s through early evening under partly cloudy skies. Tomorrow (Friday): Record-challenging heat continues, as afternoon highs soar to the mid- to upper 90s, and the heat index reaches near the 100-105 range once again. The record highs in jeopardy for tomorrow are 98 at Reagan National (1872), 95 at Dulles (1985), and 94 at BWI (1985).
