NEW DELHI: Two projects — phase one of the Delhi-Meerut expressway and Eastern Peripheral Expressway (EPE) — constructed to decongest Delhi, will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday.“Both these expressways have been constructed in a record time of less than 1,000 days. These would be among the first few world class access controlled expressways in the country,” said road transport and highways minister Nitin Gadkari . Gadkari said the government was connecting the Capital with satellite cities through four expressways, being built at a cost of Rs 40,000 crore. “EPE is already completed. The Delhi-Meerut expressway will be completed within a year.
