Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made first remarks after United States President Donald Trump announced a trade deal between India and America after months of standoff, and thanked the US President for reducing the tariffs to 18 per cent. Prime Minister Modi said he was “delighted” that Made in India products will now face tariffs of 18 per cent. PM Modi said, “Wonderful to speak with my dear friend President Trump today. He agreed to stop buying Russian Oil, and to buy much more from the United States and, potentially, Venezuela. They will likewise move forward to reduce their Tariffs and Non Tariff Barriers against the United States, to ZERO.”
