Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for a meeting on Indus waters treaty today. According to reports, Modi will be meeting officials from various ministries to discuss the pros and cons of 56-year old treaty signed between India and Pakistan over the sharing of water from six rivers. However, the officials of the ministries of Water Resources and External Affairs denied any such knowledge of a meeting being convened by the Prime Minister. Pakistan has been complaining of not receiving enough water and gone for international arbitration in couple of cases.
