Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday said that her government has been keen to stem the spread of the Covid-19 virus since the beginning of the pandemic. “As a result, the Covid vaccination program began on January 7, 2021 and is continuing still now,” Sheikh Hasina added. The premier said the government is providing the booster dose vaccines considering the pandemic situation like the other countries in the globe. Till January 17, a total of 741,265 people have received the booster dose. She told parliament that over 89.1 million people got the first dose and over 57 million received the second dose of the vaccines.
