Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday told the House that her government will make a decision on the issue of inclusion of private schools in the monthly pay order (MPO) in the next national budget, reports BSS and UNB. In this connection, the prime minister cited an example in which she refused a proposal made by one of her relatives for nationalization of a school in Rangpur’s Pirganj. Sheikh Hasina said her relative came up with the proposal for nationalizing a school that has only 150 students. The prime minister said her government is not only bringing the schools under the MPO, it is also diversifying education and taking initiatives for improving its quality.
