PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled for a special visit to Jakarta on Friday (March 27). According to a statement issued by Wisma Putra, the special visit is at the invitation of Indonesia’s President Prabowo Subianto. “The visit will focus on recent geopolitical developments, particularly the conflict in West Asia, and its impact on regional stability and the global economy, including implications for Malaysia and Indonesia,” the statement said. The statement also said that the meeting will also highlight the importance of strengthening Asean’s role as a united and principled bloc. As such it will enable the region to act collectively in preserving peace, maintaining regional stability, and safeguarding economic resilience amid global uncertainty.
