PIA halts Karachi, Peshawar flights as pilots show Covid-19 symptoms

KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Sunday stopped flight operations from Karachi after officials of Sindh health department officials insisted to send four pilots suspected of contracting the coronavirus to quarantine. After the incident, CEO Air Marshal Arshad Malik issued immediate instructions to ground the planes in Karachi. Sources said that four pilots were stopped as part of precautionary measures against the virus. However, a PIA spokesman said the news of the presence of the virus in any pilot is misleading.
