President William Ruto on Saturday participated in the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party grassroots elections at Koilel Primary School in Uasin Gishu County, casting his vote for polling centre-level officials. The elections are taking place across 20 counties, with party members selecting 20 officials at each polling centre. Speaking after voting, President Ruto commended the large number of candidates who stepped forward to contest. The grassroots polls are part of UDA’s ongoing effort to deepen democratic processes within the party and empower members at the local level.
