President Muhammadu Buhari paid homage to Oba Akiolu during his campaign visit to Lagos on Saturday. The President was in Lagos on Saturday for his re-election campaign, during which he paid homage to the Olowo Eko, Oba Akiolu, in his Iga Idugaran palace. A photograph of the event as uploaded by Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media, Mr. Femi Adesina, shows President Buhari in a handshake with his host, Oba Akiolu. However, a Facebook user, Linna Chizo Lawal, managed to come up with a more sensational one, which many people have misinterpreted as Buhari sitting on Akiolu’s stool. A look at the welcome photo of Oba Akiolu and Buhari shows the Oba standing before a throne with elaborate decorations, while his VIP guest stands in front of a well decorated chair with the Oba’s insignia.
