PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Thursday halted the implementation of 15 per cent increase in medicine prices. On January 11, Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) released a notification wherein the increase in prices of medicines, including life-saving drugs, was imposed. Consequently, the bench ordered a stay on the implementation of the DRAP notification. On January 11, DRAP announced a price hike of 9-15 per cent across the country. DRAP, accepting the drug manufacturers’ demands, issued a notification for the increase in medicine prices.
