Philippine tankers have won one gold and one silver on the final day of the swimming competition in the 2017 Asean Schools Games at the Singapore Sports School in Singapore. Maurice Sacho Ilustre, a former member of the Philippine Swimming League (PSL), ruled the boys’ 200m butterfly. The boys’ team lost to Indonesia, 25-15, 25-19, 25-23, while the Filipina spikers also suffered losses to the Indonesians, 25-18, 25-20, 25-16. Team Philippines garnered 13 gold, eight silver and 21 bronze, surpassing its 11-gold, 14-silver, 22-bronze output in the 2014 edition. “All of the events contributed medals that’s why I’m really satisfied with our performance,” said chef de mission Rizalino Jose Rosales.
