The bellwether Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) inched up by 0.11 percent or 7.13 points to 6,491.19, while the broader All Shares shed 0.02 percent or 0.59 points to close at 3,859.36. AAA Equities head of research Christopher Mangun said the market experienced profit taking in the early parts of trading. “We saw some profit taking in early trading, however, investors were quick to pick up issues that pulled back,” Mangun said. Mangun added that local shares may continue to decline in the coming days as more investors secure profits following its rally last week. “Philippine shares initially continued to struggle for direction, bouncing around the breakeven line, as several uncertainties loomed large,” he said.
