PH racks up $7.5M sales at CAEXPO

THE Philippines hit its retail sales target at the conclusion of the 13th China-Asean Expo (CAEXPO) held earlier this week in Nanning, China, a Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) attached agency reported Friday. In an e-mailed statement, the DTI’s Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (Citem) said Filipino exhibitors’ retail sales during the three-day expo reached $7.5 million. “We have more exhibitors right now compared to the previous exhibitions. There [were]only 25 exhibitors last year but right now we have 31,” said Rowena Mendoza, Citem project manager for the 13th CAEXPO. She also said that what Citem is interested in are the booked sales or the sales under negotiations between the participants.
