THE country logged 7,174 new cases of Covid-19 on Sunday, raising the total number cases to 1.1 million, 61,294 of which were active, the Department of Health said. Most of the active cases were either mild or asymptomatic. The department said that 9,197 more patients recovered for a total of 1,022,224 or 92.8 percent of all casesThe death toll climbed to 18,472 with 204 new fatalities. According to OCTA Research, the Covid-19 positivity rate is down to 14 percent. The average number of cases reported per day further dropped to 2,172 from May 2 to 8.
