PFAM wade into Safiq's 'swear' controversy

KUALA LUMPUR: The Professional Footballers Association of Malaysia (PFAM) believe that the controversy over JDT captain Safiq Rahim, who was filmed swearing at his critics, after yesterday’s Malaysia Cup final against Kedah, should not be made into a big issue. PFAM deputy president Rezal Zambery Yahya said Safiq was only venting out his frustration after winning the high pressure match. Safiq appeared to be swearing at his critics (probably rival fans) after the final which JDT won 2-0. "We have never stopped players from speaking their mind, his language, however, was questionable," said Rezal today. I am sure he would not have behaved in such a way if it was during an event.
