RAWALPINDI: Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has advised the citizens not to use Pangasius frozen fish which they said is causing serious health problems. According to the PFA, the traders had been directed to stop selling Pangasius frozen fish, as it is not suitable for human consumption. PFA in its ongoing crackdown against substandard and unhealthy food had warned the sellers of the frozen fish to stop selling it as the authority had sent few samples of Pangasius frozen fish to an international laboratory for analysis. The lab report revealed that all Pangasius frozen fish samples were substandard due to mold, Listeria and moisture content. Talking to the media, a PFA official told that they had issued a notification against Pangasius frozen fish that develops molds in it and therefore is highly injurious to human health.
