The station features “quick-charge” technology able to recharge the battery of seven-seat vehicle for a 100-km run in about 20 minutes. Rerngsak Mahawinijchaimontree, chairman of the PEA board of directors, oversaw the opening ceremony. He said the station opening is part of the PEA’s plan to support the government’s Thailand 4.0 policy. Rerngsak said the PEA will open 11 vehicle charging stations around the country along major tourism routes and will launch an app to allow electric car owners to learn details about the stations. Nakhon Ratchasima’s deputy governor, Murathathee Ratchartcharoen, and Boonlua Charoenwat, deputy mayor of Mueang Nakhoan Ratchasiam Municipality, also attended the ceremony.
