The Convention Planning Committee of the party, set up to organise the elective national convention coming up on Saturday in Abuja, has banned the display of campaign posters of any presidential aspirants at the Eagle Square venue of the convention. Makarfi stated this during the inauguration of the party Convention Planning Committee. The Delta State governor warned against display of banners of those aspiring to contest the presidential ticket of the party. “For those who want to campaign for future elections, possibly the presidential aspirants, this convention is not the place to display campaign posters or to display their intentions. He urged the party members to desist from ány act that he said might affect the convention negatively.
