PDEA Director General Aaron Aquino based on a June 13, 2019 news report by a giant television network revealed that the “total travel of PDEA for 2018 that lacked the required documents is only P22.45 million’’. He said the agency through its Finance service submitted the lacking documents last May 28, 2019, to the Commission on Audit (COA). Aquino assured the public that PDEA has always adhered to all COA rules and regulations. Aquino said PDEA has already sent notices “to all suppliers to issue immediately the lacking official receipts’’.
