Share TweetBy Betheen Kae UniteFive Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) senior officers are being considered to take the helm of the organization when Admiral Elson Hermogino, PCG commandant, retires on October 22. Hermogino, a member of Philippine Military Academy Class 1985, has served 38 years both in the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Coast Guard. According to Captain Armand Balilo, Coast Guard spokesperson, five senior officers have been recommended as possible successor of Hermogino. Hermogino was appointed head of the Coast Guard in January 2018.
