The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has formally written to the International Cricket Council (ICC), extending support to Bangladesh’s position in the ongoing controversy over the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. According to a report by ESPNcricinfo, the PCB’s communication was sent directly to the ICC and copied to members of the ICC Board. In the letter, the PCB supported the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s (BCB) refusal to send its national team to India for the tournament, citing security-related concerns. Despite PCB’s backing, the ICC is understood to be firm on its stance. PCB’s involvement has also reignited speculation that Pakistan may be willing to host Bangladesh’s World Cup matches and that Pakistan’s own participation could be reviewed depending on the outcome of the situation.
