The Meralco Bolts are set to begin training for the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Season 46 in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte. Meanwhile, the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters and the NorthPort Batang Pier have secured permits from the local government units (LGUs) of Mandaluyong and Cainta, respectively, to hold training sessions. However, permission from the LGUs to hold training, as well as the approval of the PBA and the GAB are enough to get the ball rolling. Meanwhile, most PBA teams are likely headed to Batangas City which is under GCQ with no heightened restrictions. The LGU of the city has already agreed to host the closed-circuit training of the teams, offering the Batangas City Coliseum, Batangas State University Gym and Lyceum of the Philippines University Batangas Gym as venues for training.
