PAS to stay out of Perlis exco, says Takiyuddin

KUALA LUMPUR: PAS will not be part of the new Perlis state executive council (exco), its secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan has announced. He said after examining and considering the current situation involving the Perlis government and Perikatan Nasional, PAS has decided it will not have any state exco members in Perlis. "We (PAS) will continue our commitment to the Perlis government in accordance with the mandate given by the people in the 15th General Election. "At the same time, PAS will not be a member of the State Executive Council which will be formed by the new Perlis Mentri Besar," he said in a statement on Tuesday (Dec 30). Takiyuddin added that all existing PAS state exco members will resign their positions as a sign of solidarity, in line with the resignation of the former Mentri Besar.
