Flag-carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) on Saturday mounted two more special commercial flights for stranded Canadian citizens and permanent residents. PAL president Gilbert Sta. Ana sent off the first flight, PR-5166, which departed Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 on Saturday morning for Vancouver and Toronto. The special flights showcased the “new normal” personal protective garments and gears of PAL cabin crew, pictures of which went viral on social media. PAL spokesperson Cielo Villaluna said the Canadian government partnered with PAL to ferry stranded Canadians and permanent residents.
