KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 30): The Parliamentary Public Accounts Committee (PAC) will hold a proceedings meeting on the Royal Malaysian Navy’s (RMN) Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) development project at the Parliament Building here on Feb 4. “This is the PAC’s third visit to monitor the project, following earlier PAC proceedings on the LCS project,” she said in a statement. She said that during the visit, the Parliamentary PAC was briefed on the progress of the construction of the LCS vessels, the project timeline and the challenges faced in completing the project. “The PAC was also taken to view LCS1, which is currently under construction at the Lunas shipyard. Mas Ermieyati also said the PAC would continue to monitor the progress of the LCS project from time to time to ensure the vessels are completed according to the agreed timeline and cost.
